HD Media Player
- Will the media player work on my servers?

- How do I encode my videos into a format that will work with your player?
You will need separate software to encode your videos to either FLV/F4V (Flash audio/video) or H264/HE-AAC (MPEG-4 audio/video including F4V, MP4, M4A, MOV, MP4V, 3GP, and 3G2). The best software is the Adobe Media Encoder CS4/CS5, which is included when you purchase Flash CS4/CS5 authoring software. Quick Time Pro is also good for converting to H264/AAC. Click here to learn more about H264 and HE-AAC codecs.
And for those who use YouTube to host their videos, all you have to do is upload your video to YouTube and they will take care of the encoding.
We highly recommend that you encode your media files with 'duration' metadata. Without this the media files may not load and the Controller component could have problems. If you are using older files without metadata, you can use additional nodes in the XML to manually specify the duration (and possibly the height and width) of each file (see player documentation for more info).
