This example shows the Slideshow component as a stand-alone object on the stage. The size of the Slideshow is 500x300 pixels with no border. The playback parameters in this example have been set with the component inspector (i.e. not in the XML).

1. Using your Flash 8/CS3/CS4 authoring software, open an existing FLA that includes the Slideshow component, or install the MXP and open a new document, then add the Slideshow component to the stage.
   
   
2. You should resize, position, and configure the Slideshow component using the component inspector.
   
   
3. You should change the color of the background and resize it to fit all of the objects on the stage.
   
   
4. Once you are finished modifying the FLA you should save your project, publish or export a network ready SWF, and embed it in your webpge.
